Nathalie Emmanuel
Nathalie Emmanuel is a British actress best known as Missandei in HBO's massive adventure "Game of Thrones". (HBO 2011-19). Emmanuel grew up in Southend-on-the-Sea the name of a resort located in Essex and became interested in the performing arts at a young age. Nathalie began taking singing, acting and dance lessons at 3 years of age. Parents were instantly impressed. Emmanuel was a talented performer who developed rapidly. In the latter half of the 90s she was playing an infant Nala in "The Lion King," an iconic West End musical that was a huge success. When she turned an adult, Emmanuel began auditioning for television and film roles. Her first breakthrough came in 2007, when she got selected to be Sasha Valentine, a British soap-opera "Hollyoaks", (Channel 4 95between 2007 and 2010). Emmanuel was in the role for four seasons before leaving the show in. The next major breakthrough for Emmanuel occurred three years later when she was cast in the role of Missandei who was the translator for the character Daenerys Targaryen (portrayed by Emilia Clarke), on HBO's "Game of Thrones." Emmanuel has appeared in each season of "Game of Thrones" up until the series' May 2019 conclusion.
