Leona Louise (born on the 3rd April in 1986) is an American musician, singer as well as songwriter, actress and performer. Her birthplace and childhood was in the London Borough of Islington and went to the Croydon's BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. Lewis was a star on the national stage when she was crowned the winner of The"X Factor"'s third series in the year 2006. Also, she was awarded a PS1 Million recording contract from Syco Music. An original Kelly Clarkson song"A Moment Like This" was her prize. It reached 50,000 digital downloads in just 30 minutes, and topped Number One for four weeks. In February 2007, Lewis agreed to sign a five-album deal in the United States with Clive Davis's record label, J Records. Her success continued to grow with the album release of her debut record, Spirit (2007), which received a platinum certification of 10x in the UK and was the fourth top-selling album in the 2000s , and also one of the top-selling albums of UK chart history. Spirit is, as per Official Charts Company is the 21st Century's most-sold debut album of a female artist. The lead single, "Bleeding Love", was a seven-week standout at number top in UK and was also the top-selling single of the year 2007. The track was also the top-selling single sold in the US during the same time. Lewis won the Billboard Best New Artist Award following year. Echo is her second studio album. She also wrote the hit song "I Have You in My Eyes" in the movie Avatar. Lewis's single "Collide" is co-written by Swedish DJ Avicii and she released Hurt The EP, her first long-form play. The release of her third studio album, Glassheart (2012), was a departure in direction for Lewis who draws inspiration from dubstep and electronic music. Her Glassheart Tour was in the middle of 2013 when she began to record material to make her first Christmas album. Christmas, With Love came out later in that year and its lead single, "One More Sleep", peaked at number three on the charts in the UK. The chart's entry made Lewis the first British solo female artist to achieve the top fivespot, with eight singles. The singer also broke the record set by Olivia Newton-John with seven songs.
