Agnetha has more fame as a part of ABBA and not as a single singer in Sweden. ABBA was one of the most popular pop bands in history in both the commercial and global sense. After leaving school at the age of 15 to take on a music career, she soon found herself singing in the band of Bernt Enghardt and soon gained the attention of a fan base. They signed her to a recording contract with Enghardt. Her debut album topped the Swedish charts. Bjorn became her spouse and they joined ABBA. ABBA was one of most popular pop bands throughout the world over the 8-year span. They won platinum and gold awards across all over the world. Following ABBA the group released three albums, namely 'Wrap Your Arms Around Me', Eyes of a Woman' And I Stand Alone'. Each of them was hugely successful in Sweden. The band were also popular across Europe. But, they did not make a huge impact in America. ABBA music served as the foundation for the jukebox musical Mamma Mia!.
